About

Hello, my name is Stephanie Rodda, wife for more than 30 years to Henry Rodda. I am a #Momofmany , including the seven children we have adopted after being foster parents for 15 years.

I enjoy studying and teaching the Word of God. The treasures within the pages of the Bible are worth searching for, discovering and then claiming as our own by applying them to our lives.

Writing has been a life long hobby that has brought me much enjoyment. Weaving words to paint a picture in a mind, inspire a soul, refresh a spirit or illicit a smile is a thing of wonder. I’ve recently published my first fictional novel, How Then Shall We Live?, available at Amazon.com   amazon.com/author/stephanierodda

  1. Stephanie, as I’ve told you, I love your blog and you are such a very special woman. It’s hard to admit it, but I am going through a serious bout of post partum depression. I too, had issues having a baby and I finally did on April 29th, giving birth to a smiling baby boy. At 4 months post partum I am so in live with him and thank the Lord I am able to take care of him still because some mother who go through PPD have a tremendous struggle with connecting with their child alone. I am messaging you today to see if you would be able to share more words either through your blog or with me personally on the topic of a recent blog entry, “Rest”. I feel so tired and hopeless at time that I find it hard to see any light in this situation or even sadly, His light. I am a believer and I would like to connect to a fellow believing mother. For some reason i feel God is calling me to do so.

    Kind regards,
    Therese

    1. Hello Therese, I’m sorry to be slow in responding and hope that you had a good weekend.
As I read about your struggle, I found myself wondering what kind of support system you have in place. Are you a part of a local church? Have you got a good small group? Supportive family?

I’m so thankful that you have been blessed with this precious gift from God and that you are able to love him so much. I will be praying that in the darkest moments you will be able to see the light and feel the hope that our gracious Lord gives so generously. I pray that tonight you will rest well and wake refreshed.

      1. Thank you so much, Stephanie. I am getting better slowly, but sure enough, through reading his Word to giving Him praise and thank you’s alot more than i should have been doing in the past as I have been given so many blessings and gifts along the way that I just could not seem to see of feel through my tears and darkness. Bless you and have a happy week ahead 🙂
